Ron Coello has been working as a professional photographer for over 20 years. He established Focus61 to bring together his two passions – photography and teaching. Now based in London, but working worldwide. His motivation is to capture memorable images of the people and places that interest and inspire him. From London’s East End to the Middle East and Africa.
In April 2016, he travelled to Lebanon to work with the charity ANERA. This was to document the work they do in the Palestinian and Syrian camps there. As a result, at the end of 2016, he continued his work with them in the towns of Ramallah and Jericho in the West Bank. In May 2017, he returned to Lebanon to work with ANERA staff and partners in the far south of the country. In March 2018, he travelled to The West Bank to continue his work about a family that were displaced from Palestine in 1948. He will return to Lebanon in early 2019 to complete a book about his experience
Internationally published, Ron’s photographs appear in publications all over the world. This includes the Independent, Guardian and Telegraph. In addition, his work has featured in the British Journal of Photography and the National Union of Journalists’ Excellence in Photography exhibitions. Personal exhibitions have included:
He has a wide range of contacts, from designers to writers and publishers. He is happy to provide packages to meet clients requirements. Whatever your needs, whether a wedding shoot, an event or International documentary images, you will be provided with photographs of the highest quality.
He produces distinct high quality images tailored to clients’ specifications. Because he works closely with his clients, he ensures he understands what is required.
Sometimes, clients require images immediately. Therefore, photographs are turned round on site, in real-time, when required for online channels or media.
His approach to his photography is personal and relaxed. Ron knows that the best images result from working with people who feel genuinely at ease.
He is very experienced photographer of VIPs (including members of the Royal Family) and celebrities. As a result of Ron’s professional and non-intrusive approach, he is a very popular photographer at major events.
Paying close attention to your personal brief, he produces both formal and natural, unposed photographs. As a result, his photography genuinely captures the emotion and events of the day. He will photograph you big day from the preparations to the celebrations and going on into the evening.
He specialises in photography for the public and charity sectors. Consequently he has worked with people living and working in some of the most difficult circumstances in the UK and around the world.
He can travel at short notice. Consequently, he is ideally placed to capture current events. His international photography includes projects in Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Palestine and Lebanon.
He regularly photographs children, including commissions for the NHS and schools, and can arrange the consent forms needed when working with under 18’s.
He is security cleared. As a result, this allows him to photograph the most senior government ministers and other VIPs.
Ron runs a variety courses to suit all photographers, from beginners to advanced. Furthermore, he is happy to provide one-to-one tuition or group sessions. As a result, you can contact him directly for more information. You can find details of the courses he is currently running for beginners in East London here, and the London night photography courses here.
He is happy to discuss quotes for any job. His prices are extremely competitive and reflect the needs of each particular commission. Because they are all-inclusive, there are no hidden extras for items like additional disks (which other photographers often charge for). Consequently, there are no nasty surprises for “extras”.
